ABOUT US
Founded by Julia Klein in 2009, Soberscove grew out of a desire to make little-known art historical documents accessible to a non-specialist audience. While the focus has broadened beyond art history, the majority of our books continue to foreground and engage with documentary and archival materials, illuminate process, and involve collaboration with artists.
Soberscove donates a percentage of all of our print runs to the A.R.T. Library Program which offers topical, high quality books on modern and contemporary art to public institutions, free of charge, for audiences that might not otherwise have access to museums, galleries, or art book stores.
